Guglielmo is owned by private investors and was founded
in Italy in 2004 on the basis of experience gained in the
setting up of geographical telecommunications networks
for the leading Italian fixed and mobile telephone companies.

The research activities have generated some of the products
currently on the market as well as academic publications of
international interest in the field of new applications connected
with wireless technology.

Guglielmo is a technology provider which invests regularly in R&D
with an internal full time basis team furthermore financing, through
direct contribution, of the WASN (Wireless Ad-Hoc Sensors
and Networks) laboratory of the Faculty of
Engineering of the University of Parma.

Guglielmo owes its name to the desire of its founders to pay
a well-deserved tribute to the physicist from Bologna,
Guglielmo Marconi, inventor of radio waves and the father
of telecommunications.
